What is inspireUP! ?

inspireUP! (inspire Unlimited Potential!) is an organization whose purpose is to promote the ideals and benefits of peer-assisted success by creating and incentivizing opportunities for such partnerships.

Hm... Why should peers - say students - help one another become successful? Doesn't that raise the bar of competition for me?

As any senior student or alumni can tell you, your personal success in a company is determined by your ability to work with others rather than your GPA. Individually, the ability to care for the success of another person is a sought-after trait by a variety of employers, and proven experience in this showcases a variety of skills, making you and your resume unique and very positively different.

There are many more reasons: networking for future success, teaching, etc. Here's one more: with inspireUP!, you are rewarded for helping others succeed. More information can be found in the Membership Benefits part of our site.

Finally, for many, it could just be a way to pay it forward. Success is often achieved through the help of other people, and inspireUP! can be used as a platform to help other people in the way you have been helped.

Okay... It's a bit different, but sounds interesting. Can you quickly tell me what the benefits of membership are?

Sure! There's quite a few, and here's a quick summary:

  1. Free user-profile web page (see above) for members to show potential employers. You can add your resume in - no coding knowledge required. If you know how to use Word, you can type up things about yourself to show an employer.
  2. Preferred access to inspireUP! activities. Want to know how to get to a 4.0 GPA? Or how to get an internship or a full time job at your dream company? Our student panels and seminars from those who have been-there-done-that fill up quickly, and some spots are reserved first for members.
  3. Exclusive access to inspireUP! projects and awards. Our Mentorship Project and the Chapter Mentor Award (and the Chapter Mentee Award) are exclusive to members.
  4. Exclusive access to the forums. Do you know what benefits students get? Want to get advice on a particular course? Or give it? The Forum is our primary method of communication and learning online, and you will need to be a member to access the information there.
  5. Committee Positions eligbility. To be a volunteer on any of our committees, you would need to be a member. Also, membership is a prequisite for the Chapter Impact! Award.

Sounds good! I'm interested in joining. How do I join?

You can read more about the membership benefits and requirements, then join us with the links on the menu on the left side.

I want to be an exec... How do I do so? How is inspireUP! different from other groups? Why are there so many positions for the inspireUP! chapter? Where can I make a suggestion about awards? ... ... ...

Please see FAQ for the Menu on the left hand side.

I'm not a member yet, and I'd like to talk to someone. How can I do this?

Send an e-mail to ilnlslplilrlelulnlllilmliltleldlploltlelnltlilalll@lglmlalilll.lclolm (please don't just copy-paste this address - it has hidden characters to help stop spamming) with your concerns and we'll do our best to answer them! :)
